According to Microsoft:
“In the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 R2 release a Self Service user type was added. This user type will enable users that only require very limited access to the system a less expensive option to perform tasks such as entering payroll time, entering project time and expenses, or creating a requisition.”
There are three types of users available with Dynamics GP:
- Full User – Has full access to all functionality in Dynamics GP
- Limited User – Basically a read-only user, and includes the functionality of the Self Service User type
- Self Service User – Allows time entry, purchase requisitions, and project expense entry
I believe that the Self Service Users type is not currently available with Dynamics GP Subscription pricing. You would have to go with the Limited User if you are utilizing the subscription license model.
Also the Self Service User is a named-user license. No concurrent user freedom here.
